I have been tasked with cutting down on the number of screen shots. We will eventually have a link on the web site to a library of shots that will be available to everyone. I am going to leave the ones that I think are best here for all to enjoy while I pare it down to a manageable amount. Then the best ones will be duplicated to the web site too.
For those of you that take and share screen shots this is by no means meant to limit your work. Please continue to share them with us and I will come along and thin them out from time to time.
We will use the work order number to sort them out so please use that as your subject. In addition, if you find shots already posted for a work order please add yours as a new post under that correct work order heading so that we can enjoy another point of view. _________________ Rick Foss

I take it that's auto-delete to the safe house for shots that Rick was talking about or is it auto delete to the s$%& house never to be seen again? Some of these shots border on pure art and eye perception. RW "Rail Papparazzi" could take some lessons from our C&NW virtual "Foamers". That was not a dis as I'm the biggest one here if you haven't caught that drift yet. My kids have eaten cold dinners because of a train that took it's time coming thru Woodburn after I saw the green signal. _________________ Bill Prieger

Are you saying that an entire thread will be deleted after 30 days from the creation date.....or the last date that someone posted in that thread?
Or....
Are you saying pictures in the thread will be automatically deleted after 30 days....not the entire thread?
I ask this question because it was asked above to post screen shots under work order named threads. If entire threads are deleted after 30 days then someone could post a shot and have it deleted the next day if the thread had been there for 29 days. If it is individual pictures or posts that are deleted after 30 days then that would not be a problem. |

I do not know about the automatic deletion process. I am going thru the individual posts and selecting the ones that I like the best and copying them to my computer for now. Brian has given me a place to put them so that they will be available to the masses on the web page in the future.
You have good perspective Harold. I like your pics too. _________________ Rick Foss

It would be from the last reply to the thread. Like Rick said I have created something in which the best pictures will be shown on the web site. The reason for doing this is there is only so much hard disk space on the site so we have to use it wisely. |

not sure, haven't worked out details yet. would probably try to make the file not the thread delete.

Does Rick still have his collection of pics? I would like to see some of those from the "good ol' days!" _________________ Josh B
