There is several threads on this work order, mostly about track names.

I am just starting this work order. My question is about player's service.

I know the chemical car 0-424 is located on track 1,  1st in the string.   I know it says to spot 0-424 on cnw mu track.  I know it is late at night and I am getting rummy, but I know you guys like to throw us a curve once in a while.

What is the Player's service? Is this something to confuse me? (Easy to do) or is it something that will have me doing the w o over and over if I do not understand it?   Thanks

Bert

That is name given to your train as you get it at the beginning of the activity.  These are the cars already in your train coupled to your engines after you kill the F-11 window.

Bert, along with what Bill has above, they also always show up as a simple "0" as first number rather than the long first number that is usually shown for the other "static" consists.

0-12 as opposed to 35807-12

You're cracking me up!  You just reminded me of "Get Smart" when Max tells Himy the robot to "kill the light", so he shoots it!! Laughing  Laughing

I love that show!!!  I've watched every episode from when it was new way back to syndication.

Max:  "Would you believe I once ran a train with 6 SD90mac's?" No?  "Would you believe four Dash 9's and a Cadillac?" No? "Would you believe three switch Engines lashed up with a 70 Tonner?"  No?  "How about two trackmobiles and a guy with a bucket of sand?" No? "How about two Hungarians on a push car?"  No?  "OK.... a Gandy Dancer and a Drunk Bum?"  No? ....... Laughing

I'd almost forgotten about "Get Smart."  Great show!

I particularly liked the way Maxwell Smart communicated with Headquarters (by pulling the heel off his shoe, which was secretly a phone).  Definitely cooler than talking into your pen!
